Yeah. I've finally given in and read "Twilight" the last days. And I was like "O_O" the whole time.

I don't think it's entirely BAD ... but ... some things I just don't get.
I'm not really into romance at all and the novel is totally about that. I could handle that if it was ... well .... good. But to me it seems that there's no actual chemistry between the two protagonists and if even I notice that ... xD
I mean ... c'mon! First he rejects her, then he decides to like her, then he rejects her again and in the end it's all about "Oh, you're the love of my life!" ... whut?! They are seventeen and haven't really talked about ANYthing that may lead to such great feelings.
And Bella is kinda annoying. I don't like characters who are depicted as SO unique and SO much better and smarter than others. Bella is bored of anyone and anything that passes her way. Yes, of course, darling, you are SO special, we got it.
IMO, characters NEED flaws, that is what makes them authentic. But the fact that Bella is extremely clumsy makes her even more annoying.
Well ... then she meets Edward and is about to swoon everytime she just SEES him!? How does THAT match?! Don't try to persuade me with this "But he's a vampire, he's beautiful and sexay and hawt!" ... he's just a teenage guy. Okay, maybe he IS stunningly beautiful, I can deal with that (and I like pretty boys, I have to admit!). But the other students seem to be pretty much standing on their feet when he walks by .... o_O Oops. Yeah. I forgot about the two meant to be together. Sorry. oO That makes the difference, yep.
And of course Bella isn't upset about her new boyfriend being a vampire who's longing for her blood ... wait ... is she f*cking MENTAL?! That would scare the sh*t out of me, really. xD

I like the Cullens, though. Especially Jasper (tall, blonde, dangerous, former soldier ... YUM!) and Emmett. Edward is kinda lame (if he wouldn't constantly vow his baseless love to Bella, he would be cooler) but he's okay. The girls ... well ... I don't like female characters THAT much in general but they're still cool, I think.
I can imagine drawing all of them sometimes (in their off-book behaviour for example ... in the books they're so kind and well behaved but they're certainly as loud and banal as any other family when not being watched xD) and that's all I'm asking for. :]

I think I will read the other books, too, as I NOW want to know how it all ends. I hate book series for doing that to people. And yeah ... I can read it, doesn't hurt too much. xD

Oh and .... please don't go like "BAAAAH! YOU SUCK, THAT'S NOT TRUE!!" or something similar now. It is MY honest opinion and I'd like you to just accept it as I accept yours as well. Let's just be tolerant, mkay?

Anyway ... my take on the Cullen "kids" (actually they're no kids anymore as everyone of them is around 100 years old if not even older o_O). It's just a quick sketch but this is really close to how I imagine them all and I thought I'd give it a try. And as I said before ... this might not be the last Twilight art created by me. Hm.
